As the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections 2022 approach, all parties seem to be gear up for it. With it comes Shiv Sena’s move as its Youth wing, Yuva Sena wrote a letter to the Higher and Technical Education Minister asking to start an online university in the state of Maharashtra. The Technical Education Minister Uday Samant has asked the department to form a committee to look into this demand of setting up Online University. 

 

In the letter written by the Aaditya Thackeray headed body to the Technical Education Minister said that due to pandemic, the online mode is at power and importance of online technology has increased drastically, not only in the field of education but also in many sectors. The letter further stated that quality education will be provided to those who cannot afford to travel due to their jobs or any other reason but want to study further.
 
“If a student lives very far from the educational institute, or someone who is not able to attend the physical college regularly due to many personal issues may have the opportunity of studying in an online mode as there has been advancement in the technology sector. The expenses in this online education will only include the course fee, there will be no expense of hostel feels or travel for such students who can’t afford or travel. The people who are going to opt for this online education, it will come as a helping hand as being economical for them,” stated the letter.
