Mumbai: In view of the rising number of Covid-19 cases, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to conduct antigen test in all busy areas of the city like malls etc, BMC Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal said. Antigen testing will also be carried out at railway stations, bus stops and busy market places.
Officials said the move would help increase the number of corona virus tests and speed up the detection of positive patients. The move will help discourage people from visiting public places and create unwanted crowds,”officials said. However, if a person has an RTPCR negative test that is more than 72 hours old, an antigen test is not required. Order is still pending.
