MIM’s (All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen) Akbaruddin Owaisi will begin campaigning for the BMC polls with a public meeting at Govandi on January 28.

Though MIM chief and Akbaruddin’s elder brother, Asaduddin, has addressed two public meetings in the city in the last fortnight, it is Akbaruddin whom party workers expect to ‘galvanize’ support in favour of its candidates.
MIM announced 18 candidates in its first list on Monday. “Akbarbhai is our star campaigner. His speeches charm the youth and we expect our cadre to get enthused when he begins the campaign,” said MIM legislator Waris Pathan.
