Ahead of civic elections, BMC to take leakage work of 1,200 mm-diameter pipelines, announces water supply cut
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has recently declared a water cut in the parts of K-West and K-East wards in the city of Mumbai on October 6 and 7. The announcement came soon after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) decided to work on attending leakage on a 1.200 mm-diameter pipeline at the Versova outlet near Nand Bhavan industry on Mahakali Caves Road, Jogeshwari. 
 
The wards categorised in West-wards are Juhu and Andheri and Andheri East. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) stated that the work will commence from the 6th of October at 10 am and has also given a time frame stating that the work will be completed on October 7th at 10 am. 
 
“The water leakage work will be commencing from October 6 and will be completed by October 7 so water supply in K-West wards and K-East wards will be affected,” stated the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). This step of the civic body comes at a time when the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections are around the corner with cut-throat competition in the city to win India’s richest Municipal Corporation.
