Maha Vikas Aghadi partnered in the Sindhudurg District Central Cooperative Bank (DCCB), obtaining 11 of the available 19 seats. The bank was taken over by Rane's Siddhivinayak Panel when the incumbent chairman and vice chairman were defeated, despite MVA winning eight seats. The election was a battle between the Rane family and the rest, with the union minister and his two sons, Nilesh and Nitesh Rane, winning the Sindhudurg DCC Bank with the help of the BJP.

Today's triumph, according to Rane, is the start of a transformation in Sindhudurg district, as well as a change of power in Maharashtra. "The next objective is to remove MVA from the district and the state." The goal is to win all assembly and Lok Sabha seats in the Sindhudurg district, and then build a BJP administration with the party's Chief Minister as Maharashtra's Chief Minister," he said.

The election was dominating the news due to the alleged involvement of Rane's son, BJP legislator Nitesh Rane, in the attack on a Shiv Sena activist Santosh Parab. Nitesh, who is untraceable, was granted bail by the local court, despite the fact that the police had intensified their search for him.

Union Minister Rane, who has been railing against the Shiv Sena and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in particular, has praised the victory, claiming that the electorate have chosen those who can lead the country. "We owe Sindhudurg District Co-operative Bank a debt of gratitude to all of our activists, leaders, and voters for the bank's election success." If a conspiracy is developed against the Rane family, it is hoped that those involved will know better how to teach a lesson," he remarked in his initial responses after the results were released on Friday morning.

According to Rane, the police and law enforcement equipment were employed in an attempt to ensure a victory. The Rane camp, however, suffered a huge loss when BJP District President Rajan Teli was defeated by Sushant Naik, the younger brother of Shiv Sena MLA Vaibhav Naik from Kudal. Vaibhav Naik made a name for himself in 2014 when he defeated Rane, who was then a member of the Congress and a minister in Prithviraj Chavan's government.
