After BMC’s directives Schools reopen and welcome students with exhorting caution greetings
The day one of the school began in the city of Mumbai after the directions for resuming physical classes were given by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Students were welcomed like never before with banners, balloons and posters encouraging students to step to the school premises after a long break of 19 months.

The physical classes were resumed for students studying from 8 to 12 standard, after the notification from the state government came to resume schools from October 4. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) permitted the schools to open from the 29th of September for the first time after the physical classes were shut due to the prevailing condition of Covid 19 in the city.

the first day after resuming schools could not be seen with lot many students so the attendance was limited all over the city. The schools greeted the students with welcome back posters balloons and posters giving them awareness about the situation of Covid 19 and how they should follow the rules and regulations.

“The students were amazed, so were we. Teachers and non-teaching staff were eager to listen to the buzz the students would create in the corridors and finally, the online interaction has changed to physical ones,” stated Principal Rupa Roy of Balmohan Vidyamandir, Dadar.

More than 20 Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) schools are yet to be resumed as they are still vaccination centres and some quarantine centres and couldn’t be move. This is a big step by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and the state government amid the speculation of a possible third wave of Covid 19 and likely to affect the paediatric population.
