The Aam Aadmi Party is set to contest all the 227 seats in the upcoming Mumbai Civic Body Elections due to be held in February 2017. The party plans to contest all the seats on its own and plans to announce the first list of candidates on November 27, after a massive rally in Mumbai.

Already booth level volunteers have been appointed in the 165 wards and the rest will be appointed very soon. “Our volunteers are working hard at the local level. We have gained tremendous support in the past few months,” said AAP leader Satish Jain.

AAP leader Deepak Bajpai was in Mumbai recently and is said to be satisfied by the preparations made by the party’s Mumbai outfit. However, a final decision will be taken by the National Executive Council.
