11 dead including 7 kids as building collapses in Malad amid heavy rains

A three-story building collapsed in Malad in the West Malwan area late on Wednesday, amid extremely heavy rains in Mumbai. Dilip Sawant, Additional CP said, the police will investigate the matter properly and will take action accordingly.
City authorities of Mumbai confirmed that seven residents got injured in the accident, search and rescue operations were continued to find the missing people. Residents have been shifted from the structures which are in dangerous condition nearby. BMC took the Twitter handle to confirm the casualties.
Around 15 NDRF teams are posted in coastal districts of Maharashtra including, Pune, Palghar, Thane, Ratnagiri, and Raigad; after India, the meteorological department issued a red alert for today. Mumbai witnessed heavy rainfall on Wednesday, which resulted in waterlogging, flooded roads, and rail tracks as the southwest monsoon knocked the city.
