On Sunday, a Hindu Jan Aakrosh Morcha demonstration was organized in Mira Road to condemn 'love jihad' and 'land jihad' under the auspices of the Sakal Hindu Samaj.
Protesters marched for nearly 3 kilometers from Golden Nest Circle to SK Stone Junction. Hindu Human Rights leader Kajal Didi Hindustani, MPs Nilesh Rane and Geeta Jain, city
BJP chief attorney Ravi Vyas, local leaders, past corporators, and BJP volunteers were among those who attended the gathering.
The Hindu Jan Aakrosh Morcha was conducted earlier this year in Dadar when participants requested a law against 'love and land jihad,' as well as a ban on the term 'halal' on all items sold. They also demanded an economic and social boycott against Islam. The demonstration was organized by the Sakal Hindu Samaj, a pan-right-wing organization in Bombay; participants marched from Shivaji Park to Kamgar Maidan in Prabhadevi, where a conference was held. Together with Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal, and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, BJP leader Ashish Shelar, Raj Purohit, and several Shiv Sena members attended the conference.
